It’s as easy as spending 90 minutes per week helping a child with homework. If you can read and do elementary school math, you can be a REC volunteer tutor.
No teaching skills necessary – just a desire to be part of REC’s mission to help Grand Valley children achieve academic success.
REC will provide training and all materials. Our volunteer tutors are often surprised by the fulfillment they get from working with REC’s students. Just showing you care can lead to the reward of a welcoming smile each week from a grateful child who is happy to see you.
