After-School Program Site Manager

Riverside Education Centers (REC) is a private, non-profit corporation 501(c)(3) that has been serving the community since 2006 providing Mesa County students with high-quality academic and extracurricular experiences during out-of-school time to foster individual growth and to create community within a safe, diverse, equitable, inclusive environment.
REC operates 13 after-school sites at individual schools. Each site is directed by an After-School Program Manager, with support from one lead staff person and 5-8 trained, compensated tutors. Most sites enroll approximately 50-70 students with an average daily attendance of 45 students.

Job Summary
The After-School Program Manager is responsible for structuring and managing the academic programming and educational enrichment activities at an individual Riverside Education Centers after-school site. In order to meet all grant requirements; areas of accountability include tutoring, enrichment, case management, behavior management, parent engagement, and community/school partnerships. After-School Program Managers create a nurturing and inclusive environment, ensuring that students, staff,
and volunteers are productively working together towards academic achievement as well as social and emotional development. This is a full-time leadership position. Outside of daily after-school programming, the After-School Program Managers work independently and as a team collaborating with other Program Managers to create and craft best practices to enhance REC’s offerings, as well as coordinate with individual school staff to ensure that the needs of students are being effectively met. Physical demands associated with tutoring and enrichment activities may include: sitting, standing, walking, alternative sitting or
standing at will, lifting or carrying up to 25lbs, pushing/pulling, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and or climbing.
