The After-School Program Manager is responsible for structuring and managing the academic programming and educational enrichment activities at an individual Riverside Educational Center after-school site. Areas of accountability include tutoring, enrichment, case management, parent engagement, and community events. After-School Program Managers create a nurturing and inclusive environment, ensuring that students, staff, and volunteers are productively working together towards academic achievement as well as social and emotional development. REC is a vibrant, fast-paced nonprofit organization that makes a true difference in the lives of local students.
REC operates 15 after-school sites at individual schools. Each site is directed by an After-School Program Manager, with support from one lead staff person and 8-10 trained, compensated tutors. Most sites enroll approximately 50-70 students with an average daily attendance of 45 students.
This is a full-time leadership position. Outside of daily after-school programming, the After-School Program Managers work as a team and also with other Program Managers to create and craft best practices to enhance REC’s offerings, as well as coordinate with individual school staff to ensure that the needs of students are being effectively met.
