About the Job

Central High School (CHS) After-School Program Assistant

This position is a support position for the program directors who oversee
program managers and their after school program. This position assists in a variety of ways from taking
notes at meetings, working on special projects and filling in as a substitute for a variety of positions.

Requirements

Responsibilities


Work closely with Program Directors in:


● Visiting sites and providing feedback to program manager and program director

● Serving as a short term substitute for tutors, site program assistants or program manager

● Organization , upkeep and inventory of academic materials for check out

● Assisting Site Managers with general problem solving

● Attend, participate and take notes in all site manager collaboration and program support

team meetings

● Assist in room preparation and clean up for meetings and trainings

● Assist with onboarding of new site staff and volunteers

● Assist in creating and preparing for staff development/training for site staff

● Create resource documents for program managers as needed

● Assist or lead special projects such as conference preparation, community events, and

staff appreciation

● Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


● Proficiency in or capacity to learn Google Suite

● Prefer individual experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds

● Strong leadership and organizational skills

● Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team

● Strong ability to multitask

● Capable of being flexible when needed

● Effective oral and written communication skills

● Bilingual skills beneficial, but not mandatory


Position Details


● Part-time (Up to 28 hours per week)

● Salary Range: $18-$20

● Flexible Schedule

● HFWA sick leave

● $250/month health stipend


Programming Hours:


● 10-12 Hours a week

● Elementary Dos Rios and Rocky Mountain: Tues- Thurs 4-6:15pm, Fri 2-6:00pm; Fruitvale Tues-Thurs 4-5:45, Fri 2-5:45pm; Riverside Elementary Program: M-Th 4:5:30pm; Clifton Elementary Tues-Thurs 4 6:00pm, Fri 2-6:00pm

● Middle and High Schools: Mon-Thu 3:15-5:30pm + occasional 6-8 additional hours/month (Saturdays or Mondays when kids are off school).
